Our events and fundraisers for the 2018-19 school year were successful thanks to the many parents and family members who volunteered. You are truly appreciated. DREAM has many events throughout each school year and we cannot do it without your help. Please consider volunteering for our 2019-20 events listed below. We are looking for people to be on committees for our fundraisers and family events next year. Please consider offering your time and expertise to make our goal of supporting the wonderful programs at Deterding successful. You are welcome to attend our meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Youcan help us keep all the things that make Deterding a special place for our children.

Each classroom collects coins for the school in a large, class decorated jug. Prizes to classes collecting the most money and best decorated jug.
When: Sept. 9th - Sept. 13th
Missoula Children's Theatre is a traveling troupe of actors who come to Deterding for one week and students audition to be in the performance.
When: Sept. 23rd - Sept. 27th
Fall Scholastic Book Fair supports our school library and classroom libraries.
When: Sept. 26th
A free family evening event of food, dance and music highlighting our family's cultural heritage.
When: Oct. 25th
The Harvest Festival is a family event filled with games, food, parades and much more. Fun for young and old.

Every class, grades K-3, performs at this exciting show!

The Art Festival is what Deterding is all about. See and bid on beautiful student art, hear our band, choir and recorder students perform, create your own art and enjoy delicious food.
Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually in October.
Each day has a theme relating to the theme.
Parents provide lunch for staff on August 14, 2019, once a month treats for birthdays and celebrate teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week the first week of May (daily treats and luncheon on Thursday.)
If you plan to volunteer to chaperone on a field trip, you MUST get fingerprinted for San Juan and complete the Volunteer Guidelines Contract. You need to pick up the form from the school office before going to be printed. Fingerprint results typically take 3 days to 2 weeks to come back, so please do not wait to get the process started.
Mrs. Weil is our Artist-in-Residence. All Grade levels visit her classroom each week. Deterding students create fabulous artwork learning to use many styles and mediums.
Ms. Burris is our Band and Recorder Specialist.
All 4th grade students start learning the recorder and 5th and 6th graders participate in Band.
Mrs. Snow is our Dance Specialist. All students grades K-3 take dance during the school day. 5th and 6th graders can choose Dance or Band class. Mrs. Snow choreographs dances for all grade level performances and the K-3 Dance Show.
